Mahadevan, came in response to multiple petitions, including a suo motu case initiated by the court itself after a mother’s heartfelt plea on behalf of her visually impaired child. The case centered around the exclusion of visually impaired individuals from the Madhya Pradesh Judicial Services due to restrictive recruitment rules—rules that the court found to be discriminatory and unjust.
