The central government has clarified that there are currently no plans to revise the salaries, allowances, or pensions of Supreme Court and High Court judges. This confirmation came from Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal in a written response in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.
Talk to Supreme Court Lawyers : Supreme Court

Minister Meghwal explained that the pay structure of judges serving in the Supreme Court and the 25 High Courts is governed by The Supreme Court Judges (Salaries and Conditions of Service) Act, 1958, and The High Court Judges (Salary and Conditions of Service) Act, 1954. These laws regulate all aspects of their compensation, including salaries, allowances, and pensions.

The last revision of judicial salaries was implemented in 2016, based on the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. As per the revised structure, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) receives a monthly salary of ?2.80 lakh, while Supreme Court judges and Chief Justices of High Courts earn ?2.50 lakh per month. High Court judges, on the other hand, receive a salary of ?2.25 lakh per month.

While there have been discussions about updating judicial salaries in light of inflation and increased responsibilities, for now, the government has made it clear that no such changes are on the horizon.
