Drama In Mumbai Court: Lawyers Clash To Represent Saif Ali Khan Attacker

In a dramatic twist at the Bandra courtroom, tensions flared as two lawyers fiercely vied for the right to represent Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, the man accused of a shocking attack on Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan. Outside the courtroom, Shehzad's lawyer passionately disputed claims about his client's Bangladeshi origin. “There’s no solid proof to support this claim. He’s been living in Mumbai with his family for over seven years,” the lawyer argued, dismissing the allegations as baseless.

 

The defense team also raised concerns over procedural lapses in the investigation, highlighting the lack of evidence for an intent to murder. "The remand copy doesn’t even mention intent to kill, yet my client is facing grave charges,” one lawyer stated, calling for a more rigorous inquiry.
